Maintenance Planner
Essity is a leading global hygiene and health company which develops, produces, and sells Health & Medical, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene products and solutions and has a strong global presence. We are looking for a 12-month FTC Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance team in the manufacturing site located in Pinetown, South Africa.
About the Role
The incumbent will be responsible for implementing and administering the documentary and procedural aspects of the company planned maintenance programme. They will also be responsible for creating, issuing and administering work permits and close out the permits for contractors and staff onsite post job completion.

What You Will Do
Develop and administer computerized planned maintenance systems in conjunction with Maintenance manager.
Ensure that the maintenance data base is maintained daily. This aspect is particularly important regarding the movement of fixed assets and the maintenance of an up-to-date factory asset register.
Receive all breakdown reports as well as job requests and allocate a computer-generated job number to each prior to maintenance manager allocating work accordingly.
Make modifications to existing planned maintenance systems in order to streamline operations wherever necessary, gaining approval for these modifications prior to implementing major changes.
Generate reports from the maintenance computer software as required by superior or maintenance manager
Establish and control documents and procedures including ISO 13485 safety standards & legal requirements, coordination on property & legal demand, document & project support control and also update SOP’s e.g standard work instructions, troubleshooting guidelines and settings, changeover’s etc.
Assist with audit preparation and ensure engineering documentation and records are up to date and available on request.
Who You Are
Must have Matric and/or an N-level Engineering Qualification.
Minimum of 2-3 years Administrator experience in an Engineering Department.
Must have proficient MS Office package skills.
Report writing ability with good administrative skills.
Excellent and clear communication skills (verbal and written).
Must be able to exercise patience, courage, problem solving and critical thinking.
Be able to collaborate and work across functional teams.
